But the highlight of our trip to Italy was the bed and breakfast we stayed in and where Avery and I took our cooking class with Chef Luissa. I booked our stay there less than a week before our trip and had no pictures to give us a clue of what type of accomodations we would have. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise, with Luissa giving us her beautiful Italian home all to ourselves for two days.
Owner and chef Luissa planned a three course meal for us to make - mozzeralla and prosciutto bundles on a bed of greens with apple dressing - Spinach and ricotta roll with a sage and butter sauce and a delicious mille fuelle with saboyan sauce and fresh berries - fantastico!
Luissa was so gracious and the perfect hostess for our stay - how trusting to hand over your house to people you've just met! My wish is to make another trip to Italy for more cooking classes and to discover more of the beautiful country and it's people.
