These were a snack time favorite at our house when the kids were growning up. They're super easy and fast to make and pretty versatile too. You can use rice krispies or cheerios and I once made them with bran flakes and they were still good. I sent this batch along with John for his office and client he was visiting. The peanut butter makes them addictive and they don't last long anytime I make them. If you don't have the time to make them into balls, just press in a greased pan and cut into squares.
Cornflake Balls
1 c. sugar
1 c. corn syrup
1 c. peanut butter
6 c. cornflakes
Heat sugar and corn syrup over medium heat until dissolved. Take off heat and stir in peanut butter, then cornflakes. Let cool slightly then mold into balls while still warm. An easy way to do this is to keep your hands wet to prevent it from sticking.
