Farm Shop Update

My Christmas present to John this year was a complete painting, organizing and cleaning of his farm shop.  I started work on it around Thanksgiving and with his help we finished most of the work by Christmas.  We sold, burned and scrapped 25 years of accumulation along with putting up new cabinets and shelving.

Ten gallons of paint was bought to cover the interior which needed two coats to do the job.

Some handy new accessories for organization - magnetic tool bar.

Great place for John to do his heavy machine work such as grinding and welding.

We have storage now for everything from small bolts & nuts to sports gear.

A new sink sits in the corner for handy cleanup.

John's welding area.

A place on the catwalk to work out.  In reality it probably won't be used much - maybe some future grandkids will take advantage of it.

My favorite part of the updating was helping John build a cart for his toolbox.  He took an old railroad cart that had been given to him and repurposed it as a mobile toolbox cart.

The platform was created out of pine boards from an old grainery that was torn down several years ago on one of our farms.

We're already working on new projects in the shed and greatly appreciate the large space and tools we have to build and create.
